Good Shepherd History  Good Shepherd Lutheran Church was organized as a mission congregation on April 15, 1962. In November of that year, the congregation dedicated its first church building at 2312 Harvard Road. The register reflected approximately 90 members. The congregation grew steadily to about 190 members by 1966 and remained fairly constant thru the early 1970’s. In 1975, the congregation raised funds to purchase a locally-produced Reuter pipe organ which is still in use today. In 1982, Good Shepherd organized a capital campaign for a new building. In January of 1993, the congregation moved into the new building at 2211 Inverness Drive where we are located today. In 2001, Green Pastures Preschool was opened as a community outreach of the congregation. Our pastor, Ted Mosher, was called to the church in Summer 2008. As we approach the 50th Anniversary of Good Shepherd, we rejoice for the many lives that have been blessed and ministered to through worship, music, education and community outreach as we have lived out the Good Shepherd's love.
